CUNA GAC kicks off with reception

The League held a welcome reception Sunday night to get the CUNA GAC underway. More than 160 Alabama and Florida credit union officials are in Washington, D.C. to get a better handle on credit union issues, as well as prepare for Hill visits later in the week.

The 90-minute reception allowed credit union officials to network and ease into the week. LSCU President/CEO Patrick La Pine welcomed the credit unions and set up what to expect over the next four days. Credit union officials also got their first look at the Hill visit schedules for Wednesday.

On Monday, CUNA President/CEO Bill Cheney will lay out a long-term vision for credit unions. CUNA, state leagues and system partners have been working for more than a year on this project.
