LSCU Financial Literacy on Facebook

The LSCU Cooperative Initiatives department now has an innovative resources on Facebook. They have created a page that helps credit unions with their financial literacy outreach. The Facebook page also provides opportunities for credit unions to network and share great financial literacy ideas. It's easy to join the discussion, if a credit union staff member already has a Facebook account, they can click the hyperlink with the blue Facebook and join the group. If a credit union does not have a Facebook account, it's easy to start one. Go to and get started.

Facebook is a form of social media that allows multiple people to have a conversation and provide information in today’s fast-changing world. Using social media enables credit unions to meet with their peers (as well as the public) and share information about what they are doing to improve and enhance the financial literacy of their members, children, young adults, adults and seniors. If your credit union has questions about creating a Facebook account to interact with your members and better understand their needs, contact Amber Tynan, member relations specialist for LSCU, at 850.558.1154.
