The LSCU contingent moves to Capitol Hill today as part of day two of the CUNA GAC. Credit union officials will meet with Rep. Spencer Bachus (R-AL), Rep. Michael Rogers (R-AL), Parker Griffith (R-AL), Artur Davis (D-AL), Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), and Sen. Richard Shelby (R-AL). These lobby sessions will give credit unions an opportunity to meet face to face with their member of Congress and really talk about the issues. Member business lending and overdraft fees are two of the issues that will dominate the meetings. Check Twitter for updates from the meetings along with pictures. You can follow LSCU President/CEO Patrick La Pine at

The LSCU held a Hospitality Suite Monday evening. This gave credit unions an opportunity to unwind after the first day of meetings. Hill visit packets were handed out and the contingent were updated on the issues and the latest news. The next Hospitality Suite is Wednesday evening.
