LSCU member credit unions have free interest rate information tool

In coordination with League InfoSight and RateWatch, the LSCU is excited to bring member credit unions a powerful tool to help stay competitive with interest rates on their products.

The Rate Map mapping tool provides credit unions with a visible way to monitor key interest rates for a selection of the most commonly offered deposit and loan rates across the country. As a value of affiliation, the LSCU is offering access to Rate Map free to all member credit unions.

"The League feels it's important to purchase Rate Map for our credit unions in Alabama and Florida. We know loan volumes continue to be low in most areas. Rate Map will provide a way for credit unions to monitor interest rates in their area and remain competitive with their interest rate products," said LSCU President/CEO Patrick La Pine.

A webinar will be held Tuesday June 5 at 3pm EST/2pm CT to show credit unions all of the features of Rate Map. To RSVP for the webinar, contact LSCU VP, Marketing and Communications Mike Bridges at 866.231.0545 ext. 1022.

Credit unions can access RateWatch’s national database of more than 90,000 branches for deposit data and more than 40,000 branches for loan data to increase their competitive advantage, improve decisions on what products to offer and how to price them, and advance your revenue and profit goals. Rate Map offers the ability to search interest rates by by address, zip code, or city and state, while also having the ability to filter by institution type, product type, and rate.

To access Rate Map, credit unions can visit the League InfoSight page on the LSCU website. A webinar will be held June 5 at 3 p.m. EST/2 p.m. CST to walk credit unions through Rate Map and all of its features. An announcement about the webinar will be emailed this week. For questions, contact LSCU VP, Regulatory Affairs Bill Berg at 866.231.0545 ext. 1028.
