Snow forcing Alabama CUs to close

A winter storm rolling through the southeast has a number of Alabama credit union branches closing early on Thursday Jan. 17. An area from West Alabama to Birmingham and north are expected to get anywhere from one to four inches of snow. The snow has been falling since late morning across the upper part of Alabama. Below is a list of Alabama credit union closures:

  • WinSouth CU, Gadsden - Oneonta branch closed at 1:30 pm, Albertville and Scottsboro branches closed at 3 pm, Rainsville, Collinsville and Fort Payne branches closed at 3:30 pm, City branch at 4 pm and Rainbow City branch closing at 4:30 pm
  • North Alabama Educators CU, Huntsville - All branches closed at 2:30 pm
  • Redstone FCU, Huntsville - All offices and branches closed at 2 pm
  • Alabama Telco CU, Birmingham - All branches are closed at 2:30 pm
  • Alabama CU, Tuscaloosa - Tuscaloosa, Fayette, Cullman, Decatur and Huntsville branches closed at 1 pm
  • Family Security CU, Decatur - Albertville, Boaz and Guntersville branches closed at 3 pm

The storm is expected to blow through quickly and sunny skies with highs in the 50s are expected on Friday.
