Southeastern Credit Union Foundation donates to Oklahoma Foundation

Following the devastating tornadoes that hit Oklahoma this week, many credit unions have been asking what they can do to help. The Credit Union Association of Oklahoma has decided to not ask the National Credit Union Foundation to activate the CUAid fund. However, the Credit Union Association of Oklahoma is accepting donations to its foundation to help with some of the employees who were affected, as well as the Moore community. The Southeastern Credit Union Foundation contributed to the Oklahoma league's foundation right away.

"We have had incredible amounts of outreach from around the nation from credit unions who have told us they want to help. It is humbling," Gary Jones, president/CEO of the Credit Union Association of Oklahoma told CUNA News Now. He also said, "We are still evaluating what is needed. Please convey our incredible gratitude for all the prayers and offers of help. We're prepared to get through this."

If you or your credit union would like to make a donation to the Credit Union Association of Oklahoma Foundation, fill out this form and sent to the foundation.

Many credit unions are also accepting donations for the victims of the Oklahoma tornadoes. They include:

  • Pen Air FCU in Pensacola
  • America's First CU in Birmingham
