Sun Sentinel touts credit union lending

Tropical Financial Credit Union CEO Rich Helber submitted an editorial to the Sun Sentinel in South Florida. The editorial pointed out how Congress could raise $10 billion in new small business loans by simply raising the credit union member business lending cap. Helber writes that banks would still hold 90-percent of the loans, if the cap were raised. Credit unions are simply asking for another five percent of the pie. The need it there for small businesses.

The Sun Sentinel is the third paper in Florida to run a credit union editorial. You can read all three by clicking here and going to the LSCU Press room.
