The LSCU & Affiliates Supervisory Committee Conference is coming up August 4-7 in San Destin, FL. This is one of the fastest growing conferences put on by the League. This conference features Director's Institute sessions, BSA Training, Asset Size Roundtables, an Economic Outlook, as well as sessions on spotting elder abuse and implementing a code of ethics.
The LSCU & Affiliates VP of Communications Mike Bridges talked with Barry Thompson who will present on elder abuse and having a code of ethics. Thompson says that having a written code of ethics is good but not nearly enough. He says that the way senior management handle ethics is more important. He talks more about how to implement the code. Plus, he has a session on spotting elder abuse and how to stop it from happening.
