Much of the country is feeling the shock of winter weather this week. Alabama and some Florida credit unions have been getting out in front of the weather. After closing early on Tuesday, many Alabama credit unions are either on delay or closed for the day. From Tallahassee over to Pensacola, some credit unions are closed or opening on a delay. The League's Birmingham office is closed on Wednesday.
With heavy snow falling by mid-morning, many of Alabama's credit unions from Mobile up to Birmingham closed by noon on Tuesday. It appears the worst hit Alabama on Tuesday. The chance of precipitation is almost zero on Wednesday and Thursday, however temperatures will still be very cold. In Florida, with temperatures around 32 degrees and rain made a real possibility of ice causing the delays and closures.
With the Birmingham office of the LSCU & Affiliates closed, anyone needing assistance should contact the
Tallahassee office for assistance.
