Joe Ostrowidzki, Sarah Moore, and John Salem will provide a regulatory update for some of the new and proposed regulations for NCUA. He will also address some of NCUA’s priorities relative to their examination focus as well as economic and financial trend for credit unions. Alabama and Florida data will also be presented, and discussion will follow.
About the Speaker Sarah Moore has an extensive background in finance and operations. In July 2014, she began her duties as the Alabama Credit Union Administration Administrator (ACUA) after being appointed by Gov. Robert Bentley in April. Prior to joining the ACUA, she was the managing director for Renaissance Companies for four years where she specialized in investment management. She has 16 years of banking experience, as well as nine years of audit experience for Coopers and Lybrand.
John has been the area financial manager for the Florida OFR for 40 years. He is responsible for managing the regulation and supervision of state chartered credit unions in the North Florida Region for the Office of Financial Regulation, Division of Financial Institutions, Bureau of Credit Union Regulation.
Joe serves as associate regional director for operations in NCUA’s Region III office. He has 27 years’ experience in regulating credit unions, joining NCUA as an examiner in 1987. Joe is a graduate of the University of Texas and the Federal Executive Institute’s Leadership for a Democratic Society program.
