Community First is always on the lookout for talented people to join our team. This position will be responsible for developing the Business Loan and Deposit portfolios by identifying, analyzing, and pursuing new business opportunities; implementing new products and services; establishing business relationships with the owners/managers of local businesses; promoting Community First products and services and ensuring quality service.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Develops the Business Loan and Deposit portfolios by identifying, analyzing, and pursuing new business opportunities; implementing new products and services; establishing business relationships with the owners/managers of local businesses while balancing portfolio growth and portfolio quality in order to meet revenue expectations.

Responsible for oversight of compliance and credit administration. This includes complete packages submitted for underwriting, and accuracy and compliance of loan documentation, closing and system set-up.

Evaluates and develop lender talent. Monitors production efficiencies of individual lenders while maintaining quality standards. Assists lenders with the review of loan applications and credit analysis information to make an assessment of the applicants creditworthiness. Supervise the portfolio management by the lenders for the management of the credit and documentation risk of the business services portfolio.

Creates, implements and measures a business development plan to generate new membership inside and outside the credit union’s current membership. Increases market presence by consistently and effectively networking within the community at all levels. Consistently grows and fosters a favorable community image.

Interfaces with CUSO, CU Examiners, Loan Review Committee and Auditing Staff to ensure that all information requested is received in a timely and accurate manner and ensure that there are no unresolved issues.

Achieves proper non-performing assets and charge off levels consistent with budget and economic conditions. Plays an active role in the strategy of managing criticized assets within the portfolio

Education/Experience Required:

Experience

Minimum of five years of experience in commercial banking

Education

A Bachelor’s degree is required.

Must have in-depth understanding of and ability to interpret regulations

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

Capable of analyzing financial/statistical data

Must be proficient in the use of standard business applications in a

Windows-based environment (i.e., MS Word, Excel).
