Job Description:

Entry level sales assistant who works directly with one or more registered representatives (financial advisors) by performing a variety of clerical and sales related tasks.
Functions include: scheduling appointments for financial advisors using both outbound calls and inbound referrals; responding to incoming service requests from clients; processing forms for new accounts; entering and updating client information into a database system; maintaining a FINRA compliant filing system with records generate from securities transactions, and accomplishing administrative tasks as needed by registered representatives and department director.
Major Duties and Responsibilities :
45% Schedule initial and follow up appointments for members to meet with financial advisors(FAs) by responding to incoming referrals and by making outbound calls to credit union members who may be potential investment clients.
40% Help financial advisors open new accounts by accurately processing required forms and following up with members and FAs to ensure accuracy and completeness of all paperwork.
15% Schedule periodic client reviews.

Education/Experience Required:

Experience: Six months of similar or related experience.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or can be of a personal or sensitive nature.
Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
Other Skills: Must have ability to prioritize tasks, manage time wisely, and once trained, work with minimum direct supervision. Duties may involve frequent travel between branch locations. Must have excellent communication skills. Requires proficiency in standard PC, Microsoft, Excel, Word, Outlook. Accuracy and attention to detail are also required. Must have excellent written and verbal skills.
