Financial Education Coordination

One of the missions of the League of Southeastern Credit Unions (LSCU) is to teach financial literacy to as many people as possible. Financial literacy empowers people with the information they need, providing answers to every day questions, including:

  • Money management
  • Credit basics
  • Financial goals
  • Retirement planning
  • Identity theft solutions
  • Marriage and merging finances
  • Dealing with credit card debt

By using programs like the National Endowment for Financial Education's High School Financial Planning Program, career fairs, seminars and workshops, LSCU brings easily understandable, free financial education to teachers, students and adults across the Southeast. For information on bringing financial literacy training to your credit union, contact the Cooperative Initiatives department.
