Foundations

The Alabama and Florida Foundations are non-profit organizations dedicated to progressive professional development of credit union staff and volunteers, financial education programs for youth and adults, and creating valuable resources for our member credit unions and the communities they serve.

You can use this website to download a grant or scholarship application, make a donation to contribute to our financial education initiatives or disaster relief efforts, or simply learn more about what the Foundations do and how you and/or your credit union community can benefit from our support.

The purposes of the foundations is to:

  • Promote financial education initiatives that benefit credit union members, volunteers, students and the public at large in Alabama and Florida;
  • Provide scholarships and grants to assist credit union employees with the training they need to achieve professional excellence;
  • Offer financial relief for credit union staff and volunteers when disaster strikes;
  • Help credit unions achieve their own community relations objectives through support for local partnerships;
  • Provide tangible results that advance public awareness, legislative issues, and the “People Helping People” philosophy of the League of Southeastern Credit Unions.
How We Achieve Our Mission

The Alabama and Florida Foundations receive financial support from credit unions, corporate partners, individuals, and grants from other foundations. Guided by executive management oversight, we provide grants and scholarships to individuals, programs and non-profit organizations that fit within one or more of the above criteria.
