Credit unions have the opportunity to help the many members and small businesses along the Gulf which are hurting from the effects of the oil spill. With the heavy tourist season coming to an end, now is the time when small businesses and individuals will need the most help. Unfortunately, the impact from the oil spill will be felt along the Gulf for many years.
Join LSCU and government officials (National Credit Union Administration, Florida Office of Financial Regulations and Alabama Credit Union Administration) for a discussion of how credit unions can be a resource for members and small businesses affected by the Gulf oil spill. Various ways credit unions can serve as a resource for small businesses and members will be addressed. Credit unions will have the opportunity to talk about best practices and what they are hearing from their members.
This forum is open to all credit unions with a phone-in option. Plan to attend in person or via phone.
