Session Description: Compliance veteran Rob Rutkowski brings you the latest update on what you need to know across a wide spectrum of compliance issues for 2013. The CFPB now has the mandate it needs to dramatically change consumer lending. Much of a typical credit union’s lending forms will need to be changed. Find out which ones and learn about what is happening to Regulation Z. Mr. Rutkowski will also discuss how open-end lending has changed as well as how to avoid discrimination cases as the justice department seeks to sue more financial institutions for fair lending violations. Finally, learn about the ins and outs of commercial lending and what may happen to the existing rules on Member Business Loans in the future. Topics to be covered include:
- The CFPB: what it is, what it’s doing and 2013 deadlines
- Truth in Lending update
- Multi-featured open-end lending
- Fair Lending under the Equal Credit Opportunity Act - Member Business Loans
A basic knowledge of credit union compliance is assumed and no advanced preparation in necessary.
Conference participants can earn up to 7 CPE credits in Specialized Knowledge and Applications.
