The LSCU encourages all credit unions to have an up-to-date disaster plan in place. Below are resources to help credit unions put a plan in place and also stay in contact with members, if a disaster happens.
LSCU works to provide members with important information regarding regulations and legislation resources that affect them. The Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (S.A.F.E. Act) requires any credit union employee who acts as a residential “mortgage loan originator” (as defined in this policy) to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (“Registry”), to use the Registry’s unique identifier as required, and maintain this registration.
This page houses the various research and economic data available to member credit unions. Call report data is analyzed by LSCU Vice President, Compliance Training and Information Bill Berg on a quarterly basis. He puts together profiles of Alabama and Florida. Credit unions can find those reports here, as well as other pertinent economic data. Industry research will also be housed on this page.
