The LSCU will be utilizing "Alabama Credit Union Association" (ACUA) and "Florida Credit Union Association" (FCUA) names and logos when acting in an advocate capacity. Below are frequently asked questions for a better understanding of the new branding of the LSCU & Affiliates' advocacy efforts.
Why did the LSCU decide to create new logos it’s for advocacy efforts? The new logos provide greater state-specific brand identity for advocacy efforts in both state capitols, as well as Washington, D.C. Policymakers already look at our staff as representing credit unions in their specific state more than being LSCU.
How will the logos be used? The logos will be used as an identity for our governmental affairs efforts.
When will the logos be used? The logos will be used when communicating with legislators and regulators on advocacy efforts.
Do these logos replace the LSCU & Affiliates logo? No. The LSCU & Affiliates logo will become the parent brand of the organization.
Will the Alabama Credit Union Association (ACUA) be confused with the Alabama regulator which has the same acronym? ACUA should not confuse Alabama lawmakers with the Alabama Credit Union Administration (ACUA) since lawmakers see the credit union administration as the “credit union regulator” much more than just the “ACUA.”
