This session will give each participant a series of tools to make their board more fun and effective. Some of the specific topics will be on making board meetings shorter and getting to know your fellow board members in greater depth in a fun way.

About the Speaker

Dr. Osteryoung is the director of outreach services of the Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship in the College of Business at Florida State University, the Jim Moran Professor of Entrepreneurship (Emeritus); and Professor of Finance (Emeritus) where he taught for 34 years.

He has written eight books, including in 2003 the book So You Need to Write a Business Plan, and Jerry’s Recipes for Success-an Entrepreneurial Cookbook (published in 2004). His newest book with Tim O’Brien is entitled: If you have employees, then you really need this book! Among his many leadership roles, he is chairman of the board of First Commerce Credit Union and chairman of the board of Goodwill Industries of the Big Bend.
