Join fellow credit union CEOs in a spirited discussion about the most current credit union issues. Alvin J. Cowans, president/CEO of McCoy FCU and LSCU board chairman and Tina Williams, president/CEO of Mobile Educators CU and LSCU board member will lead the roundtable which will focus on topics suggested by you and important to your credit union.

Alvin J. Cowans is the president/CEO of McCoy FCU in Orlando, a role he has held since 1985. He has been in the financial industry since 1978. McCoy FCU is a large community credit union with more than $512 million in assets as of December 2015. AC is also the chairman-elect for the LSCU & Affiliates board of directors.

AC is a graduate of the Chamber of Commerce Leadership Orlando Program and the Florida Credit Union League Management Institute in 1988, CUNA’s Advanced Management Institute in 1989, and obtained his Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE) designation in 1989. He also serves on the board of directors of CU24, Inc. He also served as a director of the University of Florida Foundation, Inc., the Federal Reserve Commission’s Consumer Advisory Council, and Valencia Community College Board of Trustees.

Tina Williams is the President/CEO of Mobile Educators Credit Union, in Mobile, Alabama. Mobile Educators is $80 million in assets and has 10,000 members. Tina has served as CEO since Tina-Williams-SLDC-162010. Tina started her credit union career in 1981 as a part- time employee of The Infirmary FCU. She also served as CEO of DCH Credit Union and returned to The Infirmary FCU to serve as CEO until 2010.

Tina has served on the Board of the League of Southeastern Credit Unions since 2009, serving as Treasurer, Secretary and currently Chair Elect. She also served on the Alabama Credit Union League Board. During that time she served on the Executive Committee as Secretary.

Tina serves on the Board of the Southeastern Credit Union Management Association as Vice President. She has served the local credit union movement by serving as a Chapter officer in both the Tuscaloosa Chapter of Credit Unions and the Mobile Chapter of Credit Unions where she is currently Vice President.

Tina attended the University of South Alabama.  She has two sons, Andrew and Nick.
