10% Consistently maintains a professional, respectful, and courteous approach when interacting with member/owners, outside realtors, title companies, appraisers and internal contacts to maintain quality service.
10% Designs and implements procedures and maintains mortgage loan operating systems in order to achieve corporate goals, as well as to enhance overall departmental effectiveness. Continuously analyzes these systems (e.g. Symitar, MortgageBot, LP and DU) to ensure most efficient methods are being utilized.
10% Develops new or enhances existing reports to support the analysis or identification of significant lending trends, charge-off, credit quality and other loss trends. Reports regularly on concentration risk, delinquency, charge-off percentages, and net weighted yield.
10% Reviews loans for credit quality and compliance with regulations, laws, and internal policies.
10% Manages relationships with title companies, appraisers and other third party vendors, which includes but is not limited to obtaining current information at least annually, reviewing performance at least annually, pro-actively developing or redefining existing relationships as needed.
10% Contributes to the management team by using strategic thinking to develop long range initiatives
10% Develops staff by using coaching techniques to maintain quality member/owner service. Recommends training and education where appropriate to further develop skills or career paths. Provides feedback to enhance or in some cases correct the skill sets of staff.
10% Coaches staff and provides a superior member experience by actively listening and assessing the needs of the member and offering targeted solutions to these needs. Actively educates and provides product guidance to members, employee, realtors and other outside vendors.
5% Proactively develops and implements lending strategies to reduce and manage risk and insure quality underwriting.
5% Successfully handles multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
5% Manages day to day activities of department by providing overall direction and supervision to mortgage lending personnel, maintaining the up-dates in the application processing system, and ensuring that loans are booked correctly and sold in a timely manner.
5% Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Equivalent to a college degree (BS or BA in a relevant field).
Eight to ten years similar or related experience.
A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating, influencing or training others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
