PC Sysytems Analyst

Location: Park Street Building (562 Park Street)
Starting Rate: $17.59-$21.99/hr
Status: FT (40 hrs/wk)
Weekly Work Schedule: Monday-Friday (8:30am-5:30pm) & rotating Saturdays (8:30am-1:30pm)
Role: Responsible for operating the Credit Union’s computer operating system, Symitar. Provide support for JAXFCU computer hardware equipment and software applications. Perform required operations of the Episys host system in support of the Credit Union.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
1. 50% – KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Maintain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of PC’s, laptops, printers, thin clients in VDI environment and a moderate knowledge of networks, protocols, and system administration. Demonstrate the ability to quickly assimilate and take advantage of new technologies. Maintain internal standards and controls for desktop hardware, laptop, thin client and software deployment. Include hardware inventories, installation checklists, user procedures and IS control procedures as it relates to hardware and software deployment. Perform periodic visits to each branch for IS maintenance, troubleshooting and Quality Control.
2. 40% – SERVICE DELIVERY AND SUPPORT: Communication and resolution of Help Desk Tickets that are professional, timely, accurate, and within the Service Level Agreement (SLA) standards – 1) When answering the department hotline, follow existing procedures and provide prompt technical assistance when needed 2) Contribute to successful Internal Service Survey results, as noted in survey comments 3) Positive feedback in the form of but not limited to; Thanks-A-Millions (TAMs), emails, report card comments
3. 5% – PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Maintain high proficiency in system operations by participating in available learning opportunities (webinars, classes, seminars, etc…) in order to review and modify existing application/infrastructure to improve processes for credit union associates. Completes Individual Learn Plan (ILP) as outlined by the Training Department.
4. 5% – PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Execute and complete the tasks assigned to you of the IS projects in a timely manner with proper feedback to other members of the dept. 1. Meeting all project deadlines and task milestones as outlined in the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). 2. Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration to overcome project challenges. 3. Based on user feedback report cards: a) Average C or better on overall report cards. b) Add value to processes by customizing requests to meet or exceed original scope. 4. Demonstrates development in suggested areas, reducing repeat mistakes or hindrances.
Knowledge & Skills
Experience: Six months to two years of similar or related experience.
Education/Certifications/Licenses: A high school education or GED. A+ and N+ Certifications required. MCSA Certification preferred.
Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
Other Skills: 1. Ability to work independently in trouble-shooting problems and researching capabilities of current or proposed products. 2. Ability to communicate professionally with other I.S. personnel, vendor support staff and users. 3. Must be able to work and travel independently and use general office equipment.
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must occasionally lift/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Working Conditions: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
