Following this week’s  announcement of House Financial Services Subcommittee Chairs, Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA), chairwoman of the House Financial Services Committee, announced subcommittee assignments for the 116th Congress. Rep. Al Lawson (FL-5) was appointed to serve on three of the Subcommittees, including Consumer Protection and Financial Institutions, Housing, Community Development and Insurance, and Diversity and Inclusion.

Subcommittee assignments are finalized with the adoption of a resolution before the committee at a markup today, Jan. 30.

Final appointments for House Republican members have not been announced yet, but it is expected that Congressman Bill Posey (FL-8) will remain on the House Financial Services Committee.
