Prepare for LSCU State Advocacy Conferences

In last week’s editions of LSCU Today, we featured insights on the importance of advocacy efforts at Hike the Hill 2019. In a four-part series, we heard from LSCU leaders Mike Mercer, CEO; Jared Ross, EVP of advocacy; Cindy Connelly, EVP of governmental influence; and Diana Houston, EVP of association services. Each broke down issues discussed with lawmakers as credit union professionals converged in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 22 – 23 — highlighting the importance of grassroots efforts to deliver the credit union message straight to lawmakers and regulators

Now it’s time to make your voice heard at the 2020 LSCU State Advocacy Conferences. These conferences are filled with valuable advocacy and regulatory information with opportunities for anyone at your credit union — not just the CEO — interested in learning more about advocacy and building relationships with lawmakers. The advocacy events include planned receptions with state lawmakers as well as important speakers discussing the current political landscape and an opportunity for credit unions to network with key policy makers.
