This year we have a lot to celebrate at the upcoming annual conference and exposition! Not only will we celebrate the principles on which credit unions were founded, but we will also celebrate a new name for the conference.
The theme will be based on the Seven Cooperative Principles of Credit Unions:
Democratic Member Control
Members' Economic Participation
Autonomy and Independence
Education, Training and Information
Cooperation Among Cooperatives
Concern for Community
Stay tuned for more information in the coming months!
Donate Your Silent Auction Items Today!
The Southeast Credit Union Conference & Expo, formerly the LSCU AC&E, is now accepting items for the Silent Auction. Each auction item will be displayed along with the name of the donating company. We ask that each auction item have a retail value of at least $100.
The Silent Auction will benefit both the LSCU Federal Political Action Committee (FedPAC) and the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH) through a charitable matching program. Each dollar that is raised for the FedPAC will be matched by LEVERAGE, the LSCU Service Corporation. This is a great way to support political advocacy and raise money for a worthy charity.
New this year! The 2014 Virtual Exhibit Hall provides you with the opportunity to plan and locate the companies you want to visit during the conference. You can also gain insight on the products and services exhibitors are offering and learn more about their organizations.
There are more than 40 new exhibiting companies! Be sure to visit the virtual exhibit hall before the conference!
Come hear Coach Bobby Bowden, former coach of the FSU Seminoles and the all-time winningest division 1 coach in college football history, talk about taking your team to a higher level. In his 34-years as the head coach of the Seminoles, he won more than 350 games, two national championships, and 12 ACC titles. He knows a thing or two about cooperation among team members, much like the cooperative nature of credit unions.
This presentation is not just for Florida State fans, Coach Bowden is a Birmingham native and began his career in Alabama.
