Role: Responsible for identifying, managing and communication global credit risks represented in the company's loan portfolio. Applies knowledge of credit risks to optimize credit product performance. Identifies, analyzes, develops and assists in the implementation of process improvement solutions to enable better member and employee experiences.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Administers statistical models that estimate current and future credit risks. Completes loan portfolio reports that details credit quality and performance. Provides analytical support of loan product design and structure. Coordinates and perform analytics for credit risk based on specific loan type limits and targets to determine institutional tolerance.
Performs research to maintain knowledge of current competitive, economic and regulatory environment of credit unions, banks and investment finance. Interacts with lending business unit leaders, senior executives, accounting, internal audit, marketing, external examiners and auditors and other groups as necessary. Supports ongoing lending operations, including strategy formation, forecasting/budgeting, process design and process improvement.
Other skills: Strong computer proficiency with advanced knowledge of spreadsheets and database/statistics software.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years professional experience in banking or finance analysis roles required.
Education: Associates or Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Finance, Economics, Business or related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.
