What is a PAC?
Political Action Committee or (PAC) is simply a group of people or entities who pool their resources to endorse candidates who support their industry.
Alabama Credit Union Legislative Action Council is the LSCU’s state registered political action committee (PAC). ACULAC makes contributions to candidates for the Alabama Legislature and other statewide offices. Corporate and individual contributions are accepted.
Florida Credit Union Political Action Committee (CUPAC) is the LSCU’s state registered political action committees (PACs). CUPAC makes contributions to candidates for the Florida Legislature and other statewide elective offices. Corporate and individual contributions are accepted.
LSCU Fed PAC
LSCU Fed PAC is a federally registered political action committee. LSCU Fed PAC makes contributions to federal candidates in Florida and Alabama who are credit union champions. Only individual contributions are accepted.
CU Vote Defense Fund
In years past, credit unions have been subject to legislative and legal challenges to our membership, tax exemption, charter, and operational authority. In response to these threats, CU-Vote Defense Fund was established to provide education about specific credit union issues to the general public and to elected officials. Such funds will not be used for direct or indirect campaign contributions.
PAC Fundraising Guide
The PAC Fundraising Guide is a turn-key resource to assist credit unions with political action committee (PAC) fundraising. The LSCU’s state and federal PACs support pro-credit union candidates, promote good government, and support advocacy efforts for pro-credit union legislation. The information included in the PAC Fundraising Guide is designed to provide credit unions with easy fundraising activities in which to participate throughout the year. It includes helpful information to ensure that the LSCU and credit unions comply with state and federal election laws. Each credit union is different and the fundraising guide will provide credit unions with options to find a program that is best for them.
PAC fundraising can seem complicated. The LSCU has many resources to help explain what PAC fundraising is, how to plan, and why it’s important to credit unions. Save it on your computer or print it out for your staff.

I give to LSCU PACs because...
Alabama and Florida have many strong supporters of the LSCU PACs. They understands that the collective strength of credit unions is powerful. One of the most effective advocacy tools Alabama and Florida credit unions have are the LSCU’s Political Action Committees. By contributing to LSCU PACs, you help ensure that credit union champions are elected to office in Montgomery, Tallahassee, and Washington, D.C. to fight for the issues that matter most to credit unions.
