The Bank Secrecy Act Workshop provides an overview of credit union specific BSA regulations and will assist credit unions in remaining compliant with BSA training requirements. Some knowledge of BSA is assumed. No advanced preparation is necessary. Participants will review BSA requirements and discuss operational compliance issues, as well as common mistakes examiners are finding. This workshop is open to affiliated credit unions and meets requirements for BSA training needs.

Mike Lee joined the League of Southeastern Credit Unions in 2015 as the Director of Regulatory Advocacy. Mike served as law clerk for the Alabama Securities Commission and taught in Romania during his time with the Peace Corps. Prior to joining the League, Mike worked in a private law practice in Cullman, AL. Mike holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from the University of North Alabama and a Juris Doctorate from Faulkner University’s Jones School of Law.

Small Asset Sized (SAS) CU Initiative Account
SAS credit unions ($50 million in assets or less) may apply a portion of their $500 SAS CU Initiative Account to the registration fee for this event or any LSCU or League Service Corporation product and/or service. As LSCU bills your credit union for the events/services used, your credit union can simply write on the invoice that it is to be paid out of your LSCU Small Credit Union Initiative Account. The League’s accounting staff will keep track of the expenditures from your account.
