CU4Kids is the most comprehensive fundraising vehicle for members of the credit union movement, benefiting our industry’s charity of choice, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals®. Below are resources for your credit union to utilize during fundraising.

Children’s Miracle Network has grown dramatically since its founding in 1983 from a televised fundraiser in a small studio to one of the North America’s leading children’s charities. Children’s Miracle Network was founded with two simple goals: 1. Help as many children as possible by raising funds for children’s hospitals. 2. Keep funds in the community in which they were raised to help local children. The organization was founded by Marie Osmond and her family, John Schneider, Mick Shannon, and Joe Lake.

Credit unions have partnered with Children’s Miracle Network since 1996, when the Credit Unions for Kids program was introduced nationwide. Today, credit unions across the United States collaborate with credit union chapters, leagues, trade organizations, publications, and business partners to raise much-needed funds to benefit 170 Children’s Miracle Network hospitals. The funds raised help support new facilities, equipment, research programs, patient services, special patient needs, and health education programs benefiting 17 million children annually.

Get involved with CU4Kids by raising funds. Additional tools and ideas for fundraising which you can do in your own credit unions are also available. Contact Juli Lewis if you have questions or would like help with your fundraising initiatives.

Miracle Stories

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals – through the support of sponsors like Credit Unions for Kids – are responsible for millions of Miracle Stories every single year. So each year, CMN Hospitals selects a current or former patient from each state to be an ambassador and share their miracle story on behalf of the 17 million children treated at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals annually.

These ambassadors are anywhere between 3 and 18 years old. They have been treated – or are currently being treated – for cancer, premature birth, brittle bone disease, cystic fibrosis, car accidents, plane crashes, and much more. They are the face of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. They are why we help. They are “champions.”
