First Commerce Credit Union is currently seeking a Business Solutions Officer for its office in Tallahassee, FL.


The primary purpose of this position is to assist First Commerce in fulfilling our Vision To Be Our Member’s Financial Partner for Life. This is achieved through delivering Remarkable Member Service as defined by our Service Standards as well as building and maintaining strong member relationships through identification of member’s financial needs and effectively recommending appropriate products and services to meet those needs.

This position will partner with the Business Services Executives to provide operational support for commercial service offerings through the financial service centers and other related delivery channels. Facilitates the processing of commercial loans documentation, file maintenance, disbursements, and assists business members with account questions.


    • Will perform job duties in accordance with policies established by the Board of Directors under the rules and regulations set by the National Credit Union Administration and State of Florida.
    • Facilitate accurate and timely processing and maintenance of commercial loans and related documentation, including modifications, extensions, and renewals utilizing organization’s doc prep software and operating system.
    • Delivers 212 Service to Business Services members through assisting in the process of wire transfers, treasury services (ACH, RDC, Merchant Services), online banking, and associated research.
    • Prepares and/or assists with collateral, document and/or exception administration; and conducts quality control (QC) on new business accounts and loans to ensure proper set up in organization’s core system.
    • Prepare, assist and/or generate accurate up-to-date Business Services reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis for production (closed loans), pipeline management, incentive, and certain Board or senior management monitoring reports,
    • Prepares and/or assists with collateral, document and/or exception administration; and conducts quality control (QC) on new business accounts and loans to ensure proper set up in organization’s core system.
    • Courteously and professionally serves as administrative support contact for commercial clients for their commercial and personal banking needs, including opening accounts, closing loans, promoting other related credit union commercial/personal services.
    • Delivers 212 Service as a business services liaison and resource for financial service centers, third -party service providers and vendors.
    • Assists with establishing, meeting and tracking Business Services goals, including related incentive reports.
    • Actively participates in department meetings, quarterly staff meetings, and credit union functions.
    • Participate in First Commerce sponsored business development events when requested, along with coordination of certain volunteer activities upon request.
    • Accurately maintains department records, data, documentation, reports, and related files; and facilitates providing routine document or records as required for internal and external audits.
    • Performs other related activies as directed.


EDUCATION: Two-year (AA) or four-year (BA, BS) degree from an accredited university in a related field preferred.  Significant experience in financial services, bank, credit union, consumer or commercial lending can be substituted for degree.

EXPERIENCE: Three years of prior experience in a financial institution or a financial services organization required. In addition, a minimum of 1 year of new account, lending, or loan operations experience required (must be proficient in either consumer or business lending).


  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; and working knowledge of Adobe Pro XI preferred.
  • Previous commercial services experience preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills required.
  • Requires strong problem-solving skills, analytical skills, solid judgment, the ability to work independently on projects, meet deadlines, and follow through on issues and assignments.
