LSCU COOP / Education

Education

LSCU’s expanded educational offerings will address the training needs of credit unions through relevant content which will give credit union staff and volunteers the tools they need to perform in their positions more efficiently. With tools ready for implementation, trained executives take back usable information that will increase effectiveness and positively impact your credit union. Quality education and training programs include:

Conferences & Workshops enable credit union professionals to learn about the latest topics and trends from industry experts. LSCU’s expanded educational calendar addresses an array of topics including Lending, Collections, Bank Secrecy, IRAs, Trust Accounts, Marketing, Regulatory Compliance, Asset Liability Management, and more. Partnering with chapters on a regular basis allows us to bring educational offerings to you at the local level, and enable more credit union staff access to training without the added cost associated with travel.

Distance Learning provides a flexible learning experience for credit union professionals who want the same quality training, but from remote locations. Through the use of technology, LSCU is offering more training to credit unions via webinar and audio conferences. Additionally, through our cooperative partnership with the Credit Union National Association’s (CUNA) Center for Professional Development, LSCU credit unions have access to hundreds of online educational offerings.

Leadership Councils are designed to provide credit union professionals opportunities to network with their peers, discuss timely issues concerning their professions, share best practices, and hear from industry experts. The Councils meet several times a year in multiple locations and are very successful for executives in Florida. With the consolidation, we are expanding participation into Alabama in a central location.

The Annual Convention & Exposition (AC&E) provides high quality, pertinent education from industry leaders; competitive pricing for participants and exhibitors; and a world-class member experience. This is LSCU’s premier networking event to showcase and celebrate the credit union movement. As we transition to an integrated AC&E, we look to bring the best of both annual conventions to Orlando in June 2010.

Customizable Training provides credit unions with the flexibility to train staff on any topic desired. From one-hour sessions, to full-day workshops, LSCU will provide onsite training for your staff based on your individual policies, procedures, and needs.
