The concept for a chapter-coaching session was developed by management to enhance the skills and leadership abilities of up and coming credit union professionals. Given the growing desire for leadership training and professional development among credit unions, LSCU & Affiliates sees an opportunity to help equipp current and future leaders with the skills needed to help advance their credit union careers. The training of this group of employees is designed to ensure the continued success and relevancy of credit unions in the marketplace.
The current structure of the coaching college consists of four, one-day training sessions that take place over the course of a year (one class each quarter). Leadership College 2020 Curriculum will cover four topics including:

LSCU Update on COVID-19: Southeast Credit Union Conference & Expo Cancelation
The health and welfare of our credit unions and team members is job one at the League of Southeastern Credit Unions and Affiliates (LSCU & Affiliates). Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), pandemic and subsequent Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommendations and other government orders, the decision has been made to cancel the Southeast Credit Union Conference & Expo (SCUCE) that was scheduled for June 17-19, 2020 at the JW Marriott Grand Lakes in Orlando, Florida as well as all related events. All current registrants and guests can expect a full refund.
Options for rescheduling the LSCU’s Annual Meeting are being explored at this time. The LSCU Awards Committee will provide information in the near future about our 2020 annual awards process which would have culminated with awards being presented at SCUCE.
LSCU Education & Training team members will be reaching out to all current registrants and vendors regarding refunds. In the meantime, please feel free to contact Jennifer.Martin@lscu.coop with any additional questions.

Update on SE CUNA Management School for 2020:
SRCUS has been closely monitoring directives from local, state, and national officials, as well as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization, throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Our students’ health and safety, as well as supporting their focus on aiding their members, is paramount, and, as such, we are postponing the 2020 session of the SE CUNA Management School. This year’s session, scheduled for June 5 - 12, 2020, at the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education in Athens, GA, has been postponed to June 4 - 11, 2021. By making this decision in advance, we hope to minimize any added stress or inconvenience for our students.
If you are currently registered for the 2020 session, you will not need to re-register as your registration will automatically be transferred to the 2021 session with no change in your registration fee. If your ability to participate in the 2021 session changes and you are no longer able to attend, please email email@example.com no later than Friday, May 1, 2020.

Information on SRCUS (SE CUNA Management School):
Through collaboration with CUNA and Affiliates, the first SRCUS Management School was established in 1970. The two week school initially held at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta had an original first year class of 30 plus students. Since the school’s formation it has graduated over 1,100 credit union management professionals from 21 states and the District of Columbia. The curriculum is reviewed and revised each year to continue meeting the ever-changing needs of today’s credit union professionals. The program provides a well-rounded curriculum and experiential opportunities for professional and personal growth, challenging each participant to achieve their highest potential by engaging them in learning activities that stimulate critical thinking and increase confidence. The school is held each year in June at the University of Georgia, Georgia Center for Continuing Education in Athens, GA.
The Southeast Regional Directors Conference is designed for credit union directors and committee members. The conference location rotates among the ten Southeastern states, giving each state an opportunity to host their fellow credit union volunteers and showcase the best of what their state has to offer. This conference features a full range of informative educational sessions that provide a conduit for learning about critical issues important to today’s ever-changing financial industry. First-rate speakers will cover topics on the economy, lending environment, and much more.
Webinars are a great, low-cost way for credit unions to continue their professional development. The LSCU is partnered with Credit Union Webinar Network/Financial Education and Development, Inc., a leading webinar provider for credit unions. LSCU’s webinars provide rich content on a variety of topics designed specifically for credit unions.
