LSCU suggests wearing face masks in any public space to protect against COVID-19

Safety is of the utmost importance at the Southeast Directors & Supervisory Committee Conference (SDSCC). To that end, the League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates and the management of Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa are taking pro-active steps to ensure your health and safety and minimize exposure to the COVID-19 virus during SDSCC for all participants. LSCU & Affiliates reserves the right to revise these policies and protocols at any time upon reasonable notice to meeting participants and to prohibit participation by any meeting participants that fail to comply with these policies and procedures.

GENERAL

• Counters, laptops, printers, tables, chairs, handrails, doorknobs, bathroom sinks, toilets and other furniture/equipment/areas with high traffic will be wiped down with antiviral and antibacterial agents frequently throughout the day by the hotel throughout the meeting space.
• In accordance with both state and local regulations, the policy of the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa (which follows CDC guidelines and Hilton policy), participants that are fully vaccinated are not required to wear masks in public spaces- indoors and outside on hotel property. Participants that are not fully vaccinated are requested to wear a mask indoors on hotel property (outside of individual sleeping rooms), except to eat and drink. The hotel will provide complimentary face masks at the front desk, concierge and ballroom entrance for any guest that needs one during their stay.
• Minimum physical distance policy throughout the meeting area, including common areas, exhibit hall, meeting rooms and at social/meal functions.
• Signage to encourage pandemic-aware behavior will be posted throughout the hotel and meeting area.

PRIOR TO CONFERENCE

• Do not attend if you have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus within 14 days of the event or have been notified that you have been exposed to someone with the COVID-19 virus within 14 days of the event.
• Do not travel if you are ill or not feeling well.

REGISTRATION

LSCU & Affiliates staff at the SDSCC Registration Area will be available to answer questions for participants.

MEETING ROOMS

• Chairs in meeting rooms will be set to allow for physical distancing.
• Hotel staff will wipe down all high-touch/high-traffic areas frequently throughout the day. Hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the property.

FOOD/BEVERAGE

• Food service will be either pre-packaged or will have single-use gloves and/or hand sanitizer stations nearby for any items multiple people may touch.
• Our banquet team is equipped with push levers for coffee pots as well as glove dispensers that can be used for traditional coffee handles.
• Seating at round tables during meals will be somewhat reduced for social distancing.
• Handwashing/sanitizing stations will be placed in all rooms where food is served.

HOTEL

• Hilton staff has been trained in a variety of safety measures throughout the pandemic including symptom management, proper PPE protocols including removal, hand hygiene best practices and more. In accordance with the Hilton Hotels & Resorts mask mandate our team members that are vaccinated are no longer required to wear face coverings. Our team members that are not currently vaccinated are encouraged to wear face coverings.
• Hand sanitizer is provided at multiple locations in the hotel, including throughout the meeting area.
• LSCU & Affiliates staff will remind attendees at queue lines at all bars and buffets, to socially distance. Property restaurants and retail locations will also encourage appropriate social distancing.
• The hotel has implemented an aggressive cleaning/disinfecting schedule for all public and "high touch" areas as well as guest rooms.
• CDC approved social distancing procedures have been implemented throughout the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa.
• Hilton restaurants are all open however the hours of operation do vary and can be found by visiting the dining section of our website hiltonsandestinbeach.com. Our breakfast offering is a buffet only option and guests are provided gloves to use to go through the buffet line. Sandcastles Restaurant is only offering breakfast at this time however Sandcastles Lounge is offering an “all day” menu – hours and menu options can be found online. Seagar’s Prime Steaks & Seafood is open however reservations are required and can be made via OpenTable or by calling 850-622-1500.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Should you become ill during the event, please immediately advise LSCU staff at 205-437-2125, and self-isolate.
• Contact a local testing center, urgent care center or emergency room for instructions.
• Please practice good hygiene by washing your hands frequently or using sanitizing stations which will be located throughout the hotel and meeting space. We will continue to work with the hotel and local jurisdictions and make modifications to ensure the health and well-being of all attendees.
